Volunteer opportunities

KVA

We have various opportunities for volunteers to assist us with our work. These are usually administrative roles, such as updating database entries and mailing lists, but can also include research, and helping to manage our social media accounts.

As a volunteer for KVA, you would get the chance to learn more about Kingston's VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) sector, and make a valuable contribution to the work that we do.

Click here to see a description of a database volunteer role we are currently recruiting for. We are also seeking volunteers to assist us with our social media accounts (Twitter & Facebook); with sourcing & promoting funding opportunities (using Grantfinder); and with updating our social prescribing website, Connected Kingston.

If you would like to volunteer your services in any of these areas, please complete our application form and email it to us at admin@kva.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note that unfortunately we are not able to offer volunteering opportunities to DofE students at this time.

We are a well established and respected local charity, helping families with children under 5 in crisis, across the three boroughs for over 25 years. Our trustees help set the vision and lead the charity in supporting families in need across the three boroughs. We are looking for new trustees with a track record of successful fundraising ideally in the charity or voluntary sector, and who understand current fundraising challenges and can bring ideas and drive to overcome these. We welcome applications from new or experienced trustees who are passionate about supporting families and children, and bring diverse lived experience. Applicants must live in one of the three boroughs and commit to contributing to the work of the Board and the charity (approximately 5-10 hours per month). This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
