Kingston Voluntary Action is looking for a Good Food Group Coordinator

 

Salary: £32,000 pro rata plus 5% pension contribution, 28 hours per week

Fixed term until September 2025 (with possible extension)

 

We are looking for a Good Food Group Coordinator who is passionate about providing fairer access to healthy, nutritious and culturally appropriate food as well as wider advocacy support around food to improve economic, social and health outcomes for everyone in Kingston. You will be required to support groups with advice, training, access to funding and surplus food, as well as opportunities to network and contribute to future strategy.

 

The Good Food Group Coordinator role will develop and sustain the Kingston Good Food Group with particular emphasis to be on:

  • communities using the group to address wider determinants of health and social inequalities
  • development and sustainability of the community cooking classes
  • ensuring local people use both the Good Food Group and Community Cooking Classes in order to have access to nutritious food and eat more healthily.
  • work with The Royal Borough of Kingston and VCS groups to further develop and implement Kingston food insecurity strategy
