The NHS

The NHS changed the way that the health and care system is organised in July 2022. Integrated Care Systems are designed to increase joined up care between local partners – the NHS, councils, the VCSE sector and others to create better services based on local need.  Their focus is on prevention, achieving better outcomes and reducing health inequalities. 

Kingston is part of the South West London ICS, along with Richmond, Merton, Sutton, Croydon and Wandsworth. At the local level, there is the Kingston Place-based Partnership Committee that brings together Kingston’s local system leaders to focus on the health and wellbeing of people who live in Kingston and plays a key role within the SWL Integrated Care System.  

KVA’s role 

Our CEO, Sanja, sits on both the Kingston Place-based Partnership Committee and the Kingston Partnership Board, which currently exercises the functions of the Health & Wellbeing Board.
