The national Lottery have made a new funding stream available under their Awards for All Programme.

The National Lottery states that climate and nature emergency affects us all, but local action can make a real difference. They will fund community-led projects that improve the environment and help people connect with and enjoy nature where they live.

You can apply for funding that will:

1. start a new activity or continue an existing one

2. help your organisation adapt to new challenges

3. run one-off events that have a clear environmental benefit.

And they are looking to fund projects that:

· Help people connect with and care for nature in their area. (Projects that help people engage with good-quality, accessible nature close to home.)

· Make a positive difference to the environment. (Projects that help care for the environment and respond to climate challenges.)

All projects must benefit the local community and involve local people from the start.

The funding can support a variety of costs to help the project succeed. These include:

· Running costs for the organisation

· Help from a nature organisation

· Equipment

· One-off events with a clear environmental impact

· Staff and training costs

· Transport and utilities

· Volunteer expenses

· Small land or refurbishment projects

You can apply for grants of between £300 to £20,000 for up to 2 years.

The application deadline is 17 December 2025
