strike

With Resident doctors' strike action planned to start on Friday, there is useful information for individuals as well as organisations that we would like to share.

We’d be grateful if you could share messages with your networks. You can do this via social media, using the messages below or reshare NHS's post here.

NHS have also created voice notes in a variety of different languages including Tamil and Korean - some of Kingston’s top languages. There are also BSL videos. You can share these via WhatsApp or social media.

As you may be aware, planned strike action is as follows:

From 7am Friday 25 July to 7am Wednesday 30 July.

  • During strike action the NHS is still here for people who need it.
  • If you need medical help or advice, or you are unsure about whether you should go to hospital, go to 111.nhs.uk – unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should always call 999.
  • Please attend your appointments as normal unless you have been contacted by the NHS. If you have missed an appointment, please re-book and come forward for the care you need.

Your actions during previous industrial action have had a real impact in helping reduce the risks from strike days.
