Forthcoming Funding Opportunity. 

The Postcode Society Trust gets its money to distribute as grants from the People’s Postcode Lottery 

The first-round application process will be open for one week only from 9 a.m. Monday 23rd February to 12 noon on Monday 2nd March 2026

Funding Themes

To be eligible for funding, your organisation's main aims and objectives must fit with one of the funding themes listed below:  
  1. Enabling participation in the arts
  2. Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
  3. Supporting marginalised groups and/or tackling inequality
  4. Improving mental health (Their focus will be on organisations that are actively supporting specific mental health issues, rather than general mental wellbeing activities). 

Grant details 

  • They will offer three-year funding for Registered Charities, Community Interest Companies, and Charitable Community Benefit Societies with an annual income between £10,000 and £1 million. Organisations with an income of less than £250k may be prioritised). In 2025, 88% of organisations awarded funding had an income of less than £250k. 
  • Funding offered is flexible, and they want to hear about the work your whole organisation does, rather than a specific project or costs you want to use the funding for.  
  • You can apply for up to £50,000 in total over the three years, depending on your organisation’s income  
  • Their eligibility quiz will tell you the maximum amount your organisation can apply for. Your request must be no more than 75% of your annual income listed on your most recent set of signed accounts.

  • If your application is successful, you will then be asked how you want to split the award over the three years, with no more than 50% being taken in any one year.  
  • You need to have been operating for a minimum of 12 months and have signed annual accounts at the time of application.

The deadline to apply for the first round is 2 March 2026.

They recommend using this to prepare your answers to the questions before the round opens, as you are not able to save the live application form.

Organisations may only make one application per funding round and are not eligible to apply to other Trusts supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery while their application is being considered.
