VCSEJan25

We're looking forward to seeing you at our next exciting VCSE Forum in-person event, with plenty of opportunities for discussion, to ask questions and express your views!

Wednesday 30 April 2025, 10.00-12.30 at KingsGate Church.

The agenda will include:

A presentation of insights on VCSE spend within the borough from the local authority and Integrated Care Board (ICB) to support a discussion around opportunities for commissioning arrangements across the council and ICB, including considering funding, service and contracts moving forward.

Louise Footner, Executive Director for Residents and Communities, RBK, will be at the Forum to take us through the presentation and answer any questions you may have.

  • Ending Violence against Women & Girls

There is rarely just one victim of violence against women and girls – it affects whole families, and whole communities. We also know the most vulnerable in society often find it hardest to access support. Taking a coordinated response between all services (statutory, frontline, healthcare, charities, faith communities, education and businesses) with the survivors’ voice being heard loud and clear, can make a real difference.

Kavitha Ramakrishnan, Violence and Vulnerabilities Manager - Safer Kingston Partnership, Healthy and Safe Communities, RBK, will tell us more about the Kingston Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy, which was co-produced between the Council and the Kingston Survivors’ Forum, and how the sector can contribute to its implementation.Safeguarding

Safeguarding involves protecting a person's health, wellbeing, and human rights, ensuring they live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. It’s a collective responsibility to ensure that people get the support they need to live their lives fully and have their rights respected.
