PIP Review launches engagement programme for disabled people

The Government has launched a new engagement programme as part of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) review, aiming to ensure that disabled people’s voices are heard in shaping future changes to the benefit.

Announced on GOV.UK, the programme will give disabled people and disability organisations the opportunity to get involved directly by sharing their experiences of PIP and helping to inform how the assessment process works in practice.

The engagement programme is intended to support the wider independent review of PIP and will focus on listening to lived experience, understanding what currently works well, and identifying areas where improvements may be needed.

The Government has said that involving disabled people meaningfully is a key part of the review, and that feedback gathered through this programme will help inform future recommendations.

Further details about how people can take part, including opportunities for organisations and individuals to contribute, are expected to be shared through GOV.UK.
