Bagri Foundation Grants - Expression of Interest
Grants are available for not-for-profit arts organisations across the UK to deliver arts projects that promote and share traditional and contemporary Asian culture.
Their core remit overall is to cultivate space for Asian culture to thrive. This includes the entire Asian continent from Turkey to Japan and everywhere in between. The work they support is inspired by ideas and perspectives from and on Asia. 

Background 

Bagri Foundation was established in 1990 and the fund aims to support artistic projects that promote the sharing of traditional and contemporary Asian culture.  

Grants of between £5,000 and £100,000 are available. 

Grants typically range between 10% to 30% of the total project budget. 

The average grant size is approximately £20,000. 

Groups that wish to apply for more than £75,000 should contact the Foundation before applying.  

Who Can Apply 

Not-for-profit arts organisations that are actively engaged in the cultural sector can apply, including: Groups should have a track record of delivering artistic projects. 

Funding can be used to support diverse forms of cultural expression, encompassing both traditional and contemporary mediums, such as: 

  • Artisan crafts. 
  • Exhibitions and biennials. 
  • Music. 
  • Performing arts. 
  • Literature public events. 
  • Prizes and awards. 
  • The trustees particularly welcome the following: 
  • Projects showcasing craft and materiality, and artistic skillset. 
  • Visual arts. 
  • Performance and live arts. 

How To Apply 

There is a two-stage application process: 

1. Groups must first submit an expression of interest. Expressions of Interest will be accepted between 9 February 2026 and 11 March 2026 (23:59).
