Supporting Neurodiversity

Thursday 29 October 2026
09:30 to 13:00

Neurodiversity refers to the naturally occurring differences in the way people's minds work; no two brains are quite the same. Certain aspects of workplace life can present real challenges for neurodivergent staff and the managers who support them. This course helps delegates develop a deeper understanding of neurodiversity and equips them to support neurodivergent employees so they can thrive at work.

About this session

This is a 3.5-hour Elevate Live session, delivered by an expert facilitator in a live, interactive format including case study work and lived experience videos. As part of our Building Inclusive Culture pillar, it focuses on the practical skills managers need to recognise, understand and support neurodivergent employees, giving delegates the opportunity to ask questions, discuss real scenarios and leave with actionable next steps rather than a static set of slides.

Who should attend

This course is recommended for individuals who:

  • Are involved in managing people, at any level
  • Hold HR responsibilities within their organisation
  • Want to build confidence in supporting neurodivergent team members
  • Are unsure how to open up conversations about neurodivergence
  • Need clarity on the legal obligations around disability discrimination and reasonable adjustments

Benefits of attending

  • Increased knowledge of neurodiversity, enabling delegates to be more alert and responsive to the challenges neurodivergent employees may experience
  • Greater confidence in opening up supportive conversations with staff to understand and respond to their needs
  • A more inclusive workforce, with each person's individual strengths recognised and harnessed for the benefit of the organisation
  • Legal clarity on disability discrimination risks, helping to minimise potential liability for the organisation.
