Join us for an afternoon of rights, connection and activities as we celebrate the past year and look to what’s ahead.

Our Annual General Meeting and Carers Rights Day will bring together carers of all ages, their families, supporters and the wider Kingston community.

Carers Rights Day is an opportunity to find out more about your rights, entitlements and the support available to you, while connecting with our team and partner organisations.

There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to take part in fun and creative activities and enjoy a showcase of performances celebrating carers and KCN’s work.

A key highlight will be the launch of our new film produced with Media Trust, Brother Film and supported by City Bridge Foundation, created to help increase awareness and support for unpaid carers across Kingston.

The afternoon will also include an opportunity to hear about KCN’s work and achievements over the past year at our Annual General Meeting.

What to expect

• Information and advice about carers’ rights, entitlements and local support from our team and partner organisations
• Fun and creative activities for carers of all ages, including health and beauty treatments from the team at South Thames Colleges Group, and tote bag decorating
• A showcase of performances celebrating carers and KCN’s work
• The launch of our new carers film, made with Media Trust and Brother Film
• Connect with our team and partner organisations and find out more about the support available
• KCN’s Annual General Meeting, including an update on our work and achievements over the past year
• Tea, coffee and refreshments, followed by a buffet and drinks reception

Places will be limited, so please register in advance. We expect the event to reach capacity quickly. Once we’re full, a waiting list will be available.

We welcome carers and young people of all ages. If any young carers or other children will be attending, please let us know their names and ages on the registration form.

Timings

1.30 - Doors open

2.00–3.30pm - Carers activities, drop-ins, information and refreshments

3.30–5.00pm - Showcase of performances, film launch and AGM

5.00–6.00pm - Buffet and drinks reception
