From activities to impact

Thursday 30 July 2026
12:00 to 13:00

Many charities are under increasing pressure to demonstrate the difference they make.

Recent changes to the Charities SORP have brought renewed attention to impact reporting, but good impact measurement is about much more than meeting reporting requirements.

This practical webinar will introduce Theory of Change as a simple way of thinking about how your organisation contributes to change, before exploring how to identify meaningful outcomes, decide what evidence to collect and use learning to improve your work.

Using practical examples from the charity sector, the session will help participants move beyond counting activities towards understanding the changes their work is helping to achieve.

It will also explore common challenges, such as choosing proportionate indicators, avoiding unnecessary data collection and making better use of evidence to support decision-making.

The webinar is suitable for trustees, senior leaders, managers and anyone with responsibility for planning, monitoring, evaluation or demonstrating impact. No prior knowledge of Theory of Change or impact measurement is required.
