This session will equip you with the skills to effectively use the Safelives DASH Risk Assessment for safeguarding victims of domestic abuse

This training session is for Kingston professionals and will be online via Google Meet.

Course objectives:

  • Understand the purpose and components of the Safelives DASH Risk Assessment: Gain a clear understanding of how the DASH tool is used to assess domestic abuse risks effectively.
  • Identify risk factors and indicators: Learn to recognize the key signs and indicators that suggest a victim may be at high risk of harm.
  • Conduct effective risk assessments: Develop skills to accurately evaluate and document risks associated with domestic abuse cases.
  • Enhance multi-agency collaboration: Understand the importance of sharing information and working collaboratively across agencies to ensure victim safety.
  • Improve decision-making and safety planning: Learn how to use risk assessment outcomes to inform safety planning and intervention strategies.
  • Understand the importance of continuous risk management: Learn how to monitor and reassess risks over time to ensure ongoing safety.
