In-person Honour Based Abuse Training

This session will enable you to recognise honour based abuse and appropriately risk assess and safety plan.

This training session is for Kingston professionals and will be in person at the main Guildhall. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to sign-in and get a visitor pass.

Course objectives:

  • Define honour-based abuse and understand its different forms
  • Recognize signs and indicators of honour-based abuse
  • Understand the cultural and social contexts surrounding honour-based abuse
  • Learn effective strategies for safeguarding and supporting victim/survivors.

 

***PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE COMPLETED THE DA AND MARAC TRAINING SESSION BEFORE ATTENDING THIS SESSION***

 

Non-council or AFC employees

If you work for an external organisation and do not have a pass for the Guildhall please arrive at least 15 mins earlier in order to sign in and receive a visitors pass.

Non-attendance and Late Cancellations

If you no longer wish to attend this event, please cancel on Eventbrite giving as much notice as possible.

If you do not attend without cancelling at least 24 hours beforehand you may be charged a £20 fine.
