Data Protection and Digital Marketing

Thursday 26 February 2026
12:00 to 13:00

Data Protection and Digital Marketing – What you really need to know (and how to implement it)

Attend this session to learn about the key data protection issues that small charities and community groups should be aware of, and how to address them in a practical way.

Using a case study, Bridget will focus in particular on how to use personal data in digital marketing campaigns, including fundraising.

By attending this interactive session you will:

  • Gain a practical understanding of key data protection issues, enabling you to “issue spot” and determine your key priorities, without getting swamped by data protection.
  • Learn about the ‘dos and don’ts’ of using personal data for digital marketing. This discussion will be based on a case study, and you will take away practical tips (including a short ‘to do’ list).
  • Receive a downloadable document, summarising the presentation and including links to useful templates and resources provided by the ICO.

You’re invited to send questions ahead of time so they can be included in the case study (just add them when you sign up). There will also be time for Q&A on the day.
