The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) have developed a workshop to provide insight into the information requests they may receive from DBS.

The workshop will explore what GDPR & the Data Protection Act 2018 say about responding to DBS requests, addressing some of the concerns teams may have.

The workshop will be of value to those within Local Authority and Regulated Activity Provider organisations who work in information governance/data protection teams, human resources and team managers.

The workshop will cover;

• why requests are made by DBS and what we do with that information
• the legal duty  provide this information
• the legislation that underpins these requests and allows for sharing with confidence
• the importance of responding to requests to safeguard vulnerable groups
