Talking to Your Teenager About Safeguarding in Sport

Wednesday 11 February 2026
19:00 to 20:00

Join us in Kingston to build your confidence talking to teens about safety, boundaries, and wellbeing in sport.

For parents and carers of young people aged 12–17 years.

Join us for an interactive and informative in-person session with guidance from the NSPCC CPSU. This session is designed to help parents build confidence in talking to their teenagers about safeguarding, boundaries, and wellbeing in sport.

When: Wednesday 11th Feb, 7:00-8:00PM

Where: The Malden Centre, Blagdon Road, New Malden, Surrey KT3 4TA

Through real-life scenarios, short video clips, and practical tips, you’ll learn how to:

  • Start open, supportive conversations about safety and respect in sport.
  • Recognise signs that something might not be right.
  • Empower your teenager to speak up and know their rights.
  • Understand your role in supporting safe sporting environments.

This workshop combines expert guidance from the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) with interactive discussions and useful take-home resources.

Because safeguarding starts with conversation - and every parent can make a difference.
