Overview

Exploring how professional curiosity contributes to our understanding of children's lived experience.

A lack of professional curiosity is increasingly being identified in Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews as identified learning.

In this interactive two-hour workshop, we will explore how professional curiosity contributes to our understanding of the child's lived experience and include various ways to hear and be aware of the child's voice.

This will also be an opportunity to share knowledge, experience and perspectives across agencies and sectors.

 

Objectives

  • Increase understanding of professional curiosity
  • Build confidence in being professionally curious
  • Learn from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
  • Increase awareness of bias and its impact on professional curiosity
  • Leave with some top tips

 

This session is led by Emma Rodriguez.
