Autumn Learning Series 2: Involvement in the Sex Industry

Thursday 13 November 2025
12:00 to 13:00

As part of Kingston’s Autumn Learning Series, RBK Community Safety Team are hosting an online panel discussion  to explore what we can learn from a recent Domestic Abuse–Related Death Review in the borough.

This conversation will look at:

  • How involvement in the sex industry can intersect with coercive control and economic abuse
  • How language, assumptions, and stigma shape professional responses
  • Practical ways to identify risk and signpost to specialist support

Who should attend:

Anyone working with Kingston residents — including colleagues in housing, health, education, children’s and adults’ services, police and the voluntary and community sector.

The session forms part of our shared commitment to learning from a woman’s death in Kingston — and to strengthening our collective response to domestic abuse.
