Session overview:

  • This session is aimed at not-for-profit groups and organisations in Kingston and will explore the various options to lower energy bills and decarbonise small premises and homes
  • Decarbonisation options will range from the quick, easy and inexpensive, and move through to exploring bigger energy saving investments and renewables
  • There will also be some discussion of ‘carbon footprint calculations’ in relation to energy consumption

 

At the end of the session, you should be aware of:

  • The main causes of energy loss and wastage in buildings
  • The quickest and easiest methods to lower energy consumption and decarbonise small work premises and homes
  • Bigger investments to save energy in energy saving and renewables
  • Next steps - how to get started with decarbonisation

 

About the trainer

​Toby Costin has worked in the energy industry for 18 years. He runs a company that develops sustainable energy programmes for third sector organisations. Toby feels that community energy has an important role to play in working with the third sector, to lift people out of fuel poverty and to make them more energy literate. He has been a CREW Director since 2016.
