We know that the safety and welfare of the people you support is of the utmost importance to you. Good quality and up to date Safeguarding training is crucial in ensuring the best possible care and the key to prevention. We also understand the need for affordable training. 

We are pleased to announce a new Adult Safeguarding training package for the voluntary sector by RBK. We are currently looking to gauge the need and interest for this training which is why we would value your initial feedback, completing the Expression of Interest form. 

Please read each section carefully and ensure you answer all questions to enable your application to progress. Once reviewed, a member of the KVA team will contact you to confirm your place and any joining instructions.
 
The training course will include: 

1. Online Basic Safeguarding Training Session (certificated) - HALF DAY virtual/in-person
This session is designed for those who are new to the sector, or their role and those who have not attended basic safeguarding training before. The sessions will be facilitated by an external training provider. 
Dates: 23rd July 2024, 30th October 2024 and 27th January 2025

2. eLearning Basic Safeguarding Training (certificated) - online
This session is designed for anyone who requires access to basic safeguarding training, or to refresh previous training and can be worked through at your own pace at any time. This e-learning module will be provided by RBK.
 
3. Kingston Adult Safeguarding Q&A Session - Virtual 
This session is designed for those who have previously attended the online or e-learning safeguarding training and will provide basic information and advice, including safeguarding criteria, the safeguarding board, the Kingston safeguarding pathway and general questions about implementing policy or practice.  These sessions will not support discussion around specific cases. 
Anticipated dates: Anticipated dates September 2024, 14th October 2024 and 10th February 2025
