Using social media

Social media offer an exciting and dynamic way for voluntary and community groups to create and communicate with people who care.

Unlike traditional forms of media, social media tools enable you to have a genuine two-way conversation with networks who share common interests, and build relationships with people that can help you achieve your aims.

There are a range of tools you can use to communicate with your current and future audiences. Some of them you may be using already to stay in touch with family and friends, such as the social networking website Facebook, or photo-sharing website Flickr.
