Our latest training update

Welcome to our latest training programme!

KVA continues  to offer an exciting range of online training courses and face to face events, on a variety of topics. 

This month, we would like your feedback to help with planning  upcoming events and training.  So we are asking you to let us know what training would be most useful for your staff, volunteers to support your organisation/community groups.

All our courses are free for VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) organisations in Kingston.

15 September 10.00am-12.00pm: Starting Up: How to become a Charity or Social Enterprise

28 September 10.00am-12.00pm: Develop your fundraising strategy

29 September 11.00am-13.00pm: How to increase your donations using a 'contactless payment' solution - Learn more about payment facilitator Kashing and how your organisation can use it. 
Their one tap donation sticker has changed the way charities can now accept donations.

5 October 10.00am-11.30am: Fundraising Through Digital Channels


13 October 10.00am-11.30am: Health and Safety for small charities/voluntary organisations

20 October 12.30pm-13.30pm: Easy Fundraising - generate income through online shopping


27 October 10.00am-12.00pm: How to make a successful funding application 

3 November 10.00am-12.00pm: An introduction to measuring impact

We have a number of expert staff at Kingston Voluntary Action (KVA), Kingston Council (RBK) and Volunteering Kingston (VK) who would be very happy to support you.

Their specialisms are outlined on our website here.

If you would like some advice or support, please complete this form, outlining your support needs, and we will get back to you as soon as we can to set up a free 45 minute appointment for you with a relevant member of staff.

Superhighways' new  training schedule will be announced shortly   In the mean time you can  Follow Superhighways on Eventbrite to receive notifications whenever they list any new training.

Free Digital Support at your local Library

If your members, clients and service users are struggling to enage with your services via their smartphones, tablets or other devices, there is a new help desk service for them.
  • Every Thursday  from 10 - 1pm: at Kingston, Tudor Drive, Tolworth, Old Malden Library
  • Every Friday from 10 - 1pm at  New Malden Hook and Chessington Library

Community Learning Courses SUMMER TERM 2022.


Latest line up of community learning courses, starting after Easter. New courses including;  
  • an additional Cookery course for those with Learning difficulties or disabilities at Richard Challoner School
  •  2 new online 'Helping with Exam Stress' workshops,
  • An ESOL course at old Malden Children's Centre with a free creche for pre school children .
  • And as ever  there is the broad range of wellbeing classes on offer

Support your staff to launch their skills with apprenticeships.
By making use of government funding, your organisation can gain access to apprenticeship training.

If you currently pay into an apprenticeship levy, as an employer you pay just 5% of the cost of the Apprenticeship Standard and the Government pays the majority (95%).  Register your interest
