Following a positive resident vote for the Cambridge Road Estate regeneration proposals, they are now entering the delivery phase of this exciting programme.

With plans to provide new housing, community facilities and outdoor spaces the local area will be transformed bringing huge benefits to local residents both on the estate and in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Rehousing for some of the residents in the first phase is already underway.

As part of the rehousing programme they have developed an appeals process to ensure transparency and fairness in the decision making.

They are now looking to recruit two voluntary independent appeals panel members to support this process.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in social housing and experience of customer service and we would welcome applicants from local voluntary and community sector organisations who have relevant experience.

You can visit the RBK website to download a pack and make an online application.

The deadline for applications is 7 March 2021.

Please note this is a voluntary position, although expenses will be paid, with an initial 1 year agreement which may be extended.

The post is for an independent panel member so applicants must not be current / recent employees of RBK or be directly involved / affected by the regeneration scheme.
