The LGA Green Paper for adult social care and wellbeing – your chance to respond

The Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector is being encouraged to respond to the Local Government Association’s (LGA) green paper for adult social care and wellbeing. ‘The lives we want to lead’ has been written as a starting point to build momentum for a debate across the country about how to fund the care we want to see in our communities for adults of all ages. The green paper poses a series of consultation questions and the VCSE sector is invited to share its views.

To complete the consultation, please read the green paper and then visit ‘have your say‘ and submit your views via the online form. The consultation will run to 26 September. A response based on an analysis of all the feedback received will then be published in the autumn.

FGM Prevention Quiz for frontline workers

Survey and quiz for frontline workers in primary care, sexual health, health visiting, school nursing and mental health (all ages), to help develop training around FGM prevention.

Please follow this link to the FGM survey and quiz for front line professionals developed by the Kingston and Richmond FGM Prevention subgroup. It would be appreciated if colleagues could take 15 minutes to complete this exercise which includes questions about the statutory duty to report known cases (known as Mandatory Reporting) and potential risk factors. The quiz reveals the correct answers after completion so it's a good knowledge refresher, and the responses will help to develop FGM training.
