A Sustainable Future
Kingston Voluntary Action is dedicated to providing the right advice, support and training at the right time to the diverse voluntary and community groups of Kingston upon Thames. The last three years have seen extraordinary economic changes, the impact of which is felt deeply by local organisations trying to provide services to the local community when they need them most.
Kingston Voluntary Action’s Kingston Infrastructure Support and Development (KISD) Project, funded by the Big Lottery, was an opportunity to build the capacity of local organisations to respond to change, through workforce and infrastructure development.
With thanks to the Big Lottery, Kingston Voluntary Action has not only been able to help the local voluntary and community sector develop and flourish, but to tell the tale of our supportive services through the art of film. Listen to an introduction from Jude Habib at our production company, Sound Delivery, or watch now to find out what local organisations say about us.
Transforming Kingston's Infrastructure
KISD sowed the seeds for Transforming Kingston's Infrastructure, offering further opportunities for workforce development and diversifying and increasing funding sources.
This included our exciting new fundraising campaign, Love Kingston, which raises money for five groups working on the theme 'pathway out of poverty' and a new legacy fund to support charitable activity year on year in our Borough.
