Do you have an interest in supporting bereaved children and young people?

Roughly one in 29 children and young people have been bereaved by the death of someone significant in their lives. The challenges and change that this brings to their lives are hard to manage.

By having the right support at the right time enables children and young people to manage the impact that death has had on their lives, and develop resilience for the future.

The Saying Goodbye Project (part of Kingston Bereavement Service) has been providing this support since the project was launched in 2007.

We are currently looking to expand our team of volunteer counsellors, and are looking for suitably experienced people, who have a few hours to spare on a weekly basis.

You will be given full training and offered regular supervision

The training is scheduled to take place on various weekend days in March and April, with one weekday training to be planned.

If you are interested, and have worked with children or young people in a professional capacity, and have experience of bereavement counselling or using counselling skills in a professional setting, please contact

Kingston Bereavement Service on 0208 547 1552 or email sayinggoodbye@kingstonbereavementservice.org.uk for an application form and/or discussion.
