Michael Green, Community Projects Manager

I have spent a large part of my working life in Policy, Public Affairs and Political Advice roles. Amongst the positions I have held was Head of Policy and Parliamentary Affairs for a national membership organisation, Consultant at my own business and Public Affairs manager.

I joined KVA, originally on a consultancy basis, in 2010 focusing on a project to bring a credit union to Kingston. After combining that with strategic report activity, the Kingston Community Hub Project (now Kingston Community Hub Cluster), Volunteer Centre activity and being part of the Transforming Kingston's Infrastructure team, I also took on the Kingston Community Commissioning Consortia project.

I see my role has that of barrier removal, taking those aspects of the sectors wants and needs that under normal circumstances are difficult to achieve and making them more achievable and realistic. My stakeholder and partnership skills are as equally important as the analytical process needed to ensure projects and outcomes are successful.

I am married, the father of 3 daughters and in my spare time act as Vice-Chair of the Leeds United Supporters Trust, you guess which is the most stress inducing.
